"All but Lost" is one of my first landscape paintings. This painting made me look at nature in an entirely different way than I did before. I started looking closer at the way grass moved when hit by a gust of wind and the way the light went through the mountains and caused deep shadows in between the ridges. It opened up a whole new world for me.
